Am I still to forget your ill- gotten treasures, you wicked house, and the short ephah, which is accursed?

You sinful people, should I forget that you got your treasures by stealing them? You use dishonest measures to cheat others. I have placed a curse on that practice.

Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed?

What shall I say about the homes of the wicked filled with treasures gained by cheating? What about the disgusting practice of measuring out grain with dishonest measures?

Are there still the treasures of wickedness and the accursed short measure in the house of the wicked?

Is there still a person in the wicked house, Along with treasures of wickedness, And a short measure that is cursed?

Are there yet the treasures of wickedness In the house of the wicked, And the short measure that is an abomination?

Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a scant measure that is abominable?

Are there still the treasures of wickedness and the accursed short measure in the house of the wicked?

“ I will not overlook, O sinful house, the dishonest gain you have hoarded away, or the smaller-than-standard measure I hate so much.

Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah that is accursed?

For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes;[ yea], and sell the refuse of the wheat?

For among my people are found wicked[ men]: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.As a cage is full of birds, so[ are] their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

Divers weights,[ and] divers measures, both of them[ are] alike abomination to the LORD.

A false balance[ is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight[ is] his delight.

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I[ am] the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue[ is] a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.[ But] thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.For all that do such things,[ and] all that do unrighteously,[ are] an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine,[ he is] a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and[ is] as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth[ that which is] not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and[ for] the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned[ against] thy soul.For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.

Then said he unto me, This[ is] the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off[ as] on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off[ as] on that side according to it.I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

Divers weights[ are] an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance[ is] not good.

[ He is] a merchant, the balances of deceit[ are] in his hand: he loveth to oppress.And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance:[ in] all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that[ were] sin.

Go to now,[ ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon[ you].Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.
