必以鋒刃攻亞述地、以戈矛伐寧綠國、亞述人如入我地、履我境、彼必救我脫於其難、

who will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, the land of Nimrod with drawn sword. He will deliver us from the Assyrians when they invade our land and march across our borders.

They will use their swords to rule over Assyria. They’ll rule the land of Nimrod with swords that are ready to strike. The Assyrians will march across our borders and attack our land. But the promised ruler will save us from them.

they shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances; and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he comes into our land and treads within our border.

亞述軍至我地、陟我岡、我必覆亡之、蹂躪之、脫民於苛役、去民之重軛、

古實生寧緑、英武蓋世、在耶和華前、為獵夫之雄、故稱獵夫之雄者、曰、猶寧緑在耶和華前、肇基於巴別、以力、亞甲及示拿地之甲尼。由示拿亞述出、建尼尼微、哩河伯邑與加拉。

比迦在位之時、亞述王滴臘比利斯至、陷以雲、亞伯伯馬迦、雜挪、基特、夏朔、基列、加利利、納大利四境、擄其民人、至於亞述。

又曰、亞述王必不入此城、不以干戈弓矢陳於前、不築壘以攻擊、必由所來之途而返、不入此城、我為己榮、亦為我僕大闢故、將扞衛此城、加以援手、我耶和華所言如此。是夕耶和華之使出、在亞述營擊其士卒、十八萬五千、詰朝惟見尸骸而已。

以色列王、以拉子何西七年、即希西家王四年、亞述王撒馬尼斯環攻撒馬利亞、越至三年、即以色列王何西九年、希西家王六年、其城乃陷、亞述王虜以色列族至亞述、置於坷散河旁之哈臘、哈拔、及米太族諸邑。以色列族不遵其上帝耶和華命、背其約、不聽從其僕摩西所傳之禁令、故遘此災。○希西家王十四年、亞述王西拿基立攻陷猶大諸邑、猶大王希西家遣人至拉吉、見亞述王曰、我知罪矣、請勿侵我國、惟爾命是聽。亞述王責貢於猶大王希西家金四萬五千兩、銀四十五萬兩。希西家以耶和華殿、與王宮府庫、所有之銀、悉以為饋、

今也牝獅之穴安在、穉獅之洞何存、昔者牝獅牡獅、俱游於斯、無人叱之、牡獅斷物、以子穉獅、牡獅攫物、以子牝獅、居處之穴中、所得之物充盈焉。我萬有之主耶和華、必攻斯邑、燬厥車騎、俱成烟燄、殺戮穉獅、不許得物於斯土、其聲名泯沒無聞。尼尼微邑惟嗜殺人、所行詭譎、強據攘奪、靡有厭足、今禍將及矣、鞭聲遠聞、車輪轟轟、馬騰驤、車馳驅、騎卒踴躍、戈矛閃爍、尸相枕藉、骸骨無數、人蹶於上、

救我脫於敵人、惡我者之手、

以色列族為異邦人所扶翼、旋返桑梓、即耶和華駐蹕之所、得異邦人為僕為婢、供其服役、昔則見擄於人、今則擄人、昔則受制於人、今則制人。

亞述王撒馬尼斯攻何西、何西臣服納貢、厥後蓄異謀、遣使與埃及王瑣通好、歲貢之物不復進納、亞述王知而禁錮之、至以色列遍地、環攻撒馬利亞歷至三年。

人不虐爾、而爾虐人、人不誣爾、而爾誣人、禍將及矣、爾以誣虐施諸人、則人待爾亦若是、

故使亞述王軍長攻之、執馬拿西、擊以鐵索、解至巴比倫、

謂將拯我於敵手、

我震怒斯民、使亞述人、為杖箠以擊之、亞述人亦有禍矣、我民偽善、我必震怒、使亞述人擊之、攘奪其貨、蹂躪其身、若逵衢之糞壤。亞述人之所為、非欲成我之志、其意乃為翦滅列邦。彼曰我之牧伯、可儗列王、我滅甲呢若迦基密、滅哈末若亞八、滅撒馬利亞、若大馬色、列國之偶像、較耶路撒冷、撒馬利亞尤眾、亦為我所翦滅。撒馬利亞我已滅其國家、毀其偶像、豈不能以此待耶路撒冷乎。主曰、我降災於郇山、及耶路撒冷、既畢其事、我必伐亞述王、汰其驕心、去其抑視。

舉手擊其北方、剿滅亞述、使尼尼微荒蕪、變為曠野、
