Marshal your troops now, city of troops, for a siege is laid against us. They will strike Israel’s ruler on the cheek with a rod.

Jerusalem, you are being attacked. So bring your troops together. Our enemies have surrounded us. They want to slap the face of Israel’s ruler.

Now muster your troops, O daughter of troops; siege is laid against us; with a rod they strike the judge of Israel on the cheek.

Mobilize! Marshal your troops! The enemy is laying siege to Jerusalem. They will strike Israel’s leader in the face with a rod.

Now, daughter who is under attack, you slash yourself in grief; a siege is set against us! They are striking the judge of Israel on the cheek with a rod.

張吻吞噬、批頰凌辱、彼此共謀伐我。

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極。攻擊爾曹、其方言爾不之識、

耶和華為我聽訟、耶和華為我立法、耶和華為我治理、必加拯救、

耶和華遂使迦勒底軍、亞蘭軍、摩押軍、亞捫軍、滅猶大、應耶和華命厥僕諸先知之言、

若人僕爾、啖爾、取爾、自傲而批爾、爾則聽之、

日至、敵必築壘環繞、四面困爾、夷爾及赤子、不遺石於石上、以爾不知眷顧之日也、○

蓋巴比倫王躑躅歧途、不知所之、故卜以矢、問偶像、察牲肝、以決從違。據繇辭、當右往耶路撒冷、發鎚破之、厥口孔張、大聲號呼、欲行殺戮、復發鎚攻門、建營築壘。

當告異邦之人曰、興干戈、募猛士、使武夫麕至、

人子、爾當記錄是日、今日巴比倫王、攻耶路撒冷、

摩押之牧伯士師、必見殲滅、我耶和華已言之矣。

祭司長亞拿尼亞、命左右擊其口、

惟我語汝、勿敵惡、有人批爾右頰、轉左頰向之、

基拿拿子西底家前批其頰曰、耶和華之神離我以指示爾、由於何途、

唾之、取葦擊其首、

爾畜之所生、爾土之所產、俱必並吞、爾穀與酒及油、暨牛羊之所息、取之殆盡、迨爾危亡。於爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、四境之內、城垣鞏固、高聳特甚、爾恃之以無恐、必見圍於敵、攻而下之。爾敵環而攻爾、勢甚危迫、使爾食己所生之子女、即爾上帝耶和華所賜者。如是在爾中、最猗儺荏弱之人、必睚眦兄弟、及眷愛之妻室、留遺之子女、不以所食之嬰孩分給之、蓋敵攻邑門、見圍甚迫、物無從得故也。爾中猗儺纖弱之女、因其嬌嬈、以足踐地、猶且不屑、迨敵圍爾邑、迫切之甚、婦至缺乏、俱無所得、則私藏所出之胞衣、所生之嬰孩、以供所食、即其所愛之夫、所生之子女、亦被睚眦、毫不分給。

我必使我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率北方之眾、攻斯土之民、及四周鄰國、滅之殆盡、使見之者駭愕、皆作怨聲。

殘賊列邦者、猶獅出林而至、彼出其所、必使爾地荒蕪、城邑傾圮、無人居處。

我聞是事、中懷畏懼、唇齒震動、骨骸若朽、戰慄不已、敵雖至此、加我以難、我尚納慰、

我將使迦勒底人振興、殘忍疾作、遍行天下、強據邦國、

曰、爾年已邁、爾子不肖、請爾簡立一王、以治理我、無異他國。撒母耳聞民欲立王、以治其事、意甚不悅、禱於耶和華。

我民偽善、我必震怒、使亞述人擊之、攘奪其貨、蹂躪其身、若逵衢之糞壤。

曰、願猶太王安、既而手批之、

故我告眾曰、遠邦之人、宜聽我言、爾雖震怒、戎服備戰、必見傷殘、終歸糜爛、

言時、傍立一吏、手批耶穌曰、爾對祭司長如是乎、
