While the Pharisees were together, Jesus questioned them,“ What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied,“ David’s.”He asked them,“ How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit, calls him‘ Lord’:The Lord declared to my Lord,‘ Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet’?“ If David calls him‘ Lord,’ how, then, can he be his son?”

Then the crowds who went ahead of him and those who followed shouted: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!

When the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonders that he did and the children shouting in the temple,“ Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant

So he left, washed, and came back seeing.His neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar said,“ Isn’t this the one who used to sit begging?”Some said,“ He’s the one.” Others were saying,“ No, but he looks like him.” He kept saying,“ I’m the one.”So they asked him,“ Then how were your eyes opened?”He answered,“ The man called Jesus made mud, spread it on my eyes, and told me,‘ Go to Siloam and wash.’ So when I went and washed I received my sight.”“ Where is he?” they asked.“ I don’t know,” he said.
