But as He went, the crowds were pressing against Him.And a woman who had suffered a chronic flow of blood for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone,came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.And Jesus said,“ Who is the one who touched Me?” And while they were all denying it, Peter said,“ Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You.”But Jesus said,“ Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had left Me.”Now when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down before Him, and admitted in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed.And He said to her,“ Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”While He was still speaking, someone* came from the house of the synagogue official, saying,“ Your daughter has died; do not trouble the Teacher anymore.”But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him,“ Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.”When He came to the house, He did not allow anyone to enter with Him except Peter, John, and James, and the girl’s father and mother.Now they were all weeping and mourning for her; but He said,“ Stop weeping, for she has not died, but is asleep.”And they began laughing at Him, knowing that she had died.He, however, took her by the hand and spoke forcefully, saying,“ Child, arise!”And her spirit returned, and she got up immediately; and He ordered that something be given her to eat.Her parents were amazed; but He instructed them to tell no one what had happened.

And one of the synagogue officials, named Jairus,* came, and upon seeing Him,* fell at His feetand* pleaded with Him earnestly, saying,“ My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live.”And He went off with him; and a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years,and had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but instead had become worse—after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.For she had been saying to herself,“ If I just touch His garments, I will get well.”And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.And immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that power from Him had gone out, turned around in the crowd and said,“ Who touched My garments?”And His disciples said to Him,“ You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say,‘ Who touched Me?’ ”And He looked around to see the woman who had done this.But the woman, fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.And He said to her,“ Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be cured of your disease.”While He was still speaking, people* came from the house of the synagogue official, saying,“ Your daughter has died; why bother the Teacher further?”But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken,* said to the synagogue official,“ Do not be afraid, only believe.”And He allowed no one to accompany Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.They* came to the house of the synagogue official, and He* saw a commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing.And after entering, He* said to them,“ Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child has not died, but is asleep.”And they began laughing at Him. But putting them all outside, He* took along the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and* entered the room where the child was in bed.And taking the child by the hand, He* said to her,“ Talitha, kum!”( which translated means,“ Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).And immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astonished.And He gave them strict orders that no one was to know about this, and He told them to have something given her to eat.

And a man with leprosy came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said,“ Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

He said,“ Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him.

But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response,“ There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

But Naaman was furious and went away, and he said,“ Behold, I thought,‘ He will certainly come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the site and cure the leprosy.’

When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,

Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell at his feet and worshiped him.But Peter helped him up, saying,“ Stand up; I, too, am just a man.”

But the centurion replied,“ Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one,‘ Go!’ and he goes, and to another,‘ Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave,‘ Do this!’ and he does it.”

When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and began asking Him to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.Then Jesus said to him,“ Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not believe.”The royal official* said to Him,“ Sir, come down before my child dies.”

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies,

Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Jesus with her sons, bowing down and making a request of Him.

But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying,“ Lord, help me!”

And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.

Now a centurion’s slave, who was highly regarded by him, was sick and about to die.

After the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue officials sent word to them, saying,“ Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say it.”

A ruler questioned Him, saying,“ Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

So when Mary came to the place where Jesus was, she saw Him and fell at His feet, saying to Him,“ Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

Martha then said to Jesus,“ Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”

And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying,“ You are truly God’s Son!”
