While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said,“ My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.”

有會董、名雅依祿者、跪伏耶穌足前、求赴其家。蓋彼惟有一女、年十二、病瀕危矣。耶穌起行、人極擁擠。一婦患血崩者十有二年、曾就多醫、盡耗家貲；卒無能療之者、該婦潛至耶穌後、撫其衣角、血崩立止。耶穌曰：『孰撫予者？』眾不承、伯鐸祿及餘子乃曰：『夫子、群眾擁擠耳。』耶穌曰：『必有撫予者；蓋予感有神力發自吾身。』婦知不能隱、惴焉而前、伏其足下、當眾具道撫衣之故、及如何立愈事。耶穌曰：『女兒、爾之信德、實玉汝於成、其安心以歸。』言未已、有人來自會董家、報曰：『汝女已死、毋勞夫子。』耶穌聞言、謂之曰：『毋懼！第信、必救汝女。』耶穌既至其家、惟許伯鐸祿若望雅谷伯及女之父母、與之同入。眾人哭女甚哀；耶穌曰：『勿哭！女實未死、寢耳。』人知其已死、誚之。耶穌執女手、呼曰：『女兒、起矣！』魂返而立甦；耶穌命予之食。父母驚喜欲狂、耶穌諭曰：『不足為外人道也。』

有會董名雅依祿者一見耶穌、即俯伏足前、而懇之曰：『小女病篤、危在旦夕、求惠然臨舍、一撫其身、俾痊而得生。』耶穌偕之往、眾人蜂擁而隨、中有一婦患血崩者十二年、為群醫所誤、盡耗所有、非惟罔效、且增劇焉。聞耶穌名、雜人叢中、踵至、撫其衣、自謂苟得一撫其衣、吾必愈矣。頃刻血崩果止、沈痼霍然脫。耶穌立感有靈力發自其身、顧謂眾曰：『誰撫吾衣？』其徒曰：『群眾紛紛相擠、尚問誰撫子衣耶？』耶穌環視、欲見撫衣者、婦知不能隱、惴焉而懼、遂俯伏足前、具以實告。耶穌謂之曰：『女兒、汝之信德、玉汝於成矣。平安以歸、享爾健康。』言未畢、有人自會董家來報曰：『汝女已死、何復勞師？』耶穌聞言、謂會董曰：『勿懼、第信。』耶穌禁眾同行、惟攜伯鐸祿雅谷伯暨弟若望與偕。既抵其家、聞哀號之聲、狀至紛亂、進而謂眾曰：『何為喧嚷悲哭、女未死、乃睡耳。』眾皆笑之。耶穌遣眾出、率女之父母與偕來之徒、逕至女處、執其手曰：『大利達固米！』譯言『女郎、吾命汝起！』即起且行。女時年十二。眾睹此靈蹟莫不駭絕。耶穌嚴戒勿宣、惟命進食於女。

一癩者趨前、跽而求曰：『主若願者、必能潔我。』

『且退、女未死、第寢耳。』旁人嗤之。

顧會董以耶穌禮日治病、憾之、乃告眾曰：『六日之中、儘可工作、爾來就醫可也。毋在安息之日為之。』

既入人叢中、有人趨至耶穌前而跽曰：『主其矜憐吾子、彼患癲癇甚苦。頻跌於火、屢墮於水。

中有一沙瑪里人、見己已愈、返而揚聲歸榮天主、伏耶穌足前、鳴其忻感。

伯鐸祿甫入、高乃流迓之、俯伏足前而頂禮焉。伯鐸祿挽之曰；『請起、予亦人耳。』

巴總曰：『主臨敝廬、何敢當也。第發一言、吾僕當愈。蓋予屬人權下、己亦帶有兵卒；命此去則去、召彼來則來、所諭於僕、罔有不從。』

耶穌曰：『不見靈徵異蹟、爾曹終不願信也。』王臣曰：『主乎！及吾兒未死、懇即辱臨！』耶穌曰：『且返、爾子活矣！』其人信耶穌言、即辭去；

耶穌曰：『予即復活！予即生命！凡置信於予者、雖死必生；

時慈伯德二子之母、率子至耶穌前、跽之、有所請也。

婦趨前而拜曰：『主其助我。』

既見耶穌、禮拜之。尚有數人心竊疑之、

有百夫長寵僕病危、

誦律法及先知書訓；司會者使人請曰：『兄弟如有勉眾之詞、願聞其說。』

某顯者問曰：『善夫子、吾當何修、得享永生？』

瑪麗逕往耶穌所在、一見耶穌、即俯伏其足下曰：『若有主在、兄亦何至遽死？』

瑪大謂耶穌曰：『主若在此、吾兄當不至遽死、以吾知子有所求、天主莫不應也。』

舟中人羅拜曰：『汝真天主子。』
