法利赛人看见了，就对他的门徒说：“你们的老师为什么跟税吏和罪人一起吃饭呢？”

法利赛派的经学家，看见耶稣与罪人和税吏一起吃饭，就对耶稣的门徒说：“他跟税吏和罪人一起吃饭吗？”

众税吏和罪人，都接近耶稣，要听他讲道。法利赛人和经学家，纷纷议论说：“这个人接待罪人，又和他们一起吃饭。”

我以前写信告诉你们，不可与淫乱的人来往。这话当然不是指这世上行淫乱的、贪心的、勒索的，或拜偶像的人；如果是这样，你们就非脱离这世界不可。但现在我写信告诉你们，如果有称为弟兄，却是行淫乱、贪心、拜偶像、辱骂人、醉酒或勒索的，这样的人，不可和他来往，连和他吃饭都不可。

我们生来是犹太人，不是外族中的罪人；

他能够温和地对待那些无知和迷误的人，因为他自己也被软弱所困。

众人看见就纷纷议论说：“他竟到罪人家里去住宿！”

并且对人说：“你站远一点！不要挨近我，因为我会使你圣洁。”主说：“这些人是我鼻中的烟，是整天烧着的火。

他们回到门徒那里，看见一大群人围着他们，又有经学家和他们辩论。众人看见了耶稣，都很惊奇，就跑上前去向他问安。他问他们：“你们和他们辩论什么？”
