The centurion replied,“ Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

The commander replied,“ Lord, I am not good enough to have you come into my house. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

But the officer said,“ Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.

He sent them an assuring word and healed them; he rescued them from the pits where they were trapped.

So Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to say to him,“ Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof.That is why I did not presume to come to you. Instead, say the word, and my servant must be healed.

For he spoke, and it came into existence, he issued the decree, and it stood firm.

But Jesus rebuked him:“ Silence! Come out of him!”After throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.They were all amazed so that they asked each other,“ What is this? A new teaching with authority! He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him.”

He stretched out his hand and touched him saying,“ I am willing. Be clean!” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

“ It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs,” he said.“ Yes, Lord,” she replied,“ but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”

“ I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am– I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

who is coming after me. I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandal!”

I am not worthy of all the faithful love you have shown your servant. With only my walking stick I crossed the Jordan, but now I have become two camps.

Then his son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

But John tried to prevent him, saying,“ I need to be baptized by you, and yet you come to me?”

I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.”’

LORD, you have heard the request of the oppressed; you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.

Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter said to him,“ Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”Jesus replied,“ You do not understand what I am doing now, but you will understand after these things.”Peter said to him,“ You will never wash my feet!” Jesus replied,“ If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.”
