他說：「你若留心聽從耶和華－你上帝的話，行我眼中看為正的事，側耳聽我的誡令，遵守我一切的律例，我就不將所加於埃及人的疾病加在你身上，因為我是醫治你的耶和華。」

日落的時候，凡有病人的，不論害甚麼病，都帶到耶穌那裏。耶穌給他們每一個人按手，治好他們。

耶穌出來，見有一大羣人，就憐憫他們，治好了他們的病人。

當時，有人把一個被鬼附，又盲又啞的人帶到耶穌那裏，耶穌醫治他，那啞巴就能說話，又能看見。

甚至有人將病人抬到街上，放在床上或褥子上，好讓彼得走過來的時候，或者影子投在一些人身上。

這是因耶穌曾吩咐他說：「污靈啊，從這人身上出來！」

傍晚日落的時候，有人帶着一切害病的和被鬼附的，來到耶穌跟前。全城的人都聚集在門前。耶穌治好了許多害各樣病的人，又趕出許多鬼，不許鬼說話，因為鬼認識他。

那時，有幾個巡迴各處念咒趕鬼的猶太人，擅自利用主耶穌的名，向那些被邪靈所附的人說：「我奉保羅所傳的耶穌命令你們出來！」做這事的是猶太祭司長士基瓦的七個兒子。但邪靈回答他們：「耶穌我知道，保羅我也認識，你們卻是誰呢？」被邪靈所附的人就撲到他們身上，制伏他們，勝過他們，使他們赤着身子，受了傷，從那房子裏逃出去了。

耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裏教導人，宣講天國的福音，醫治百姓各樣的疾病。他的名聲傳遍了敘利亞。那裏的人把一切病人，就是有各樣疾病和疼痛的、被鬼附的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，都帶了來，耶穌就治好了他們。

有人帶着一個癱子來見耶穌，是由四個人抬來的；

有人用褥子抬着一個癱子到耶穌跟前來。耶穌見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「孩子，放心吧，你的罪赦了。」

耶穌斥責他說：「不要作聲，從這人身上出來吧！」污靈使那人抽了一陣風，大聲喊叫，就出來了。眾人都驚訝，以致彼此對問：「這是甚麼事？是個新的教導啊！他用權柄命令污靈，連污靈也聽從了他。」

放豬的就逃進城去，把這一切事和被鬼附的人所遭遇的都告訴眾人。

耶穌看見眾人都跑上來，就斥責那污靈說：「你這聾啞的靈，我命令你從他裏頭出來，再不要進去！」
