求爾以吾人所需之食糧、逐日見賜、

予以此語爾、俾爾因予而得平安。爾在人世、固有患難、惟勿因是而餒、予已克勝人世矣。』

我儕今爾祈、賜我以日糧；

勸眾堅心、信道勿移、曰：『吾人欲入天主之國、必須經歷多難。』

庶幾造次顛沛無所動心。蓋知受苦受難、實為吾人分內之事。嚮者吾與爾俱、早已預告吾人必有憂患、今果見驗、亦爾等之所親歷也。
