For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

People who are ungodly run after all those things. Your Father who is in heaven knows that you need them.

For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; (niv)

Jesus called them together and said,“ You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, (niv)

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? (niv)
