but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Then Peter came up and said to Him,“ Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?”Jesus* said to him,“ I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy seven times.“ For this reason the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.And when he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.But since he did not have the means to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment be made.So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him, saying,‘ Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’And the master of that slave felt compassion, and he released him and forgave him the debt.But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying,‘ Pay back what you owe!’So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying,‘ Have patience with me and I will repay you.’But he was unwilling, and went and threw him in prison until he would pay back what was owed.So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their master all that had happened.Then summoning him, his master* said to him,‘ You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me.Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’And his master, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he would repay all that was owed him.My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace

How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!

And listen to the plea of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place; hear in heaven Your dwelling place; hear and forgive!

Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying,‘ I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”The apostles said to the Lord,“ Increase our faith!”

“ Come now, and let us debate your case,” Says the Lord,“ Though your sins are as scarlet, They shall become as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be like wool.

then hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and forgive and act, and give to each in accordance with all his ways, whose heart You know— for You alone know the hearts of all mankind—

who keeps faithfulness for thousands, who forgives wrongdoing, violation of His Law, and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, inflicting the punishment of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

But there is forgiveness with You, So that You may be revered.

And Jesus responded and said to him,“ Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he replied,“ Say it, Teacher.”“ A moneylender had two debtors: the one owed five hundred denarii, and the other, fifty.When they were unable to repay, he canceled the debts of both. So which of them will love him more?”Simon answered and said,“ I assume the one for whom he canceled the greater debt.” And He said to him,“ You have judged correctly.”And turning toward the woman, He said to Simon,“ Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.You gave Me no kiss; but she has not stopped kissing My feet since the time I came in.You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little, loves little.”And He said to her,“ Your sins have been forgiven.”

Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Then they said,“ We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say.” So I called the priests and made them take an oath to act in accordance with this promise.I also shook out the front of my garment and said,“ So may God shake out every person from his house and from his possessions who does not keep this promise; just so may he be shaken out and emptied.” And all the assembly said,“ Amen!” And they praised the Lord. Then the people acted in accordance with this promise.

and forgive Your people who have sinned against You and all their wrongdoings which they have committed against You, and make them objects of compassion before those who have taken them captive, so that they will have compassion on them

then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave their fathers.

For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
