你们是出于你们的父魔鬼，你们宁愿随着你们父的欲念而行。他从起初就是杀人的，不守真理，因他心里没有真理。他说谎是出于自己的本性，因他本来是说谎的，也是说谎者之父。

但主是信实的，他要坚固你们，保护你们脱离那邪恶者。

我有此意，难道是反覆不定吗？难道我的意愿是从私欲起的，以致我忽是忽非吗？我指着信实的神说，我们向你们所传的道并非又是又非的。因为，我、西拉和提摩太在你们中间传神的儿子耶稣基督，从没有“又是又非”的；在他只有一个“是”。神的应许，不论有多少，在基督都是“是”的。所以，我们藉着他说“阿们”，使神因我们得荣耀。

凡听见天国的道而不明白的，那恶者就来，把撒在他心里的夺了去；这就是撒在路旁的了。

我们知道，凡从神生的，必不犯罪；从神生的那一位，必保守他，那邪恶者无法加害于他。

父老们啊，我写信给你们，因为你们认识从起初就有的那一位。青年们哪，我写信给你们，因为你们胜过了那恶者。

田地就是世界，好种就是天国之子，杂草就是那恶者之子，

不叫我们陷入试探；救我们脱离那恶者。因为国度、权柄、荣耀，全是你的，直到永远。阿们！’

因为出于心里的有种种恶念，如凶杀、奸淫、淫乱、偷盗、伪证、毁谤。

我不求你把他们从世上接走，只求你保全他们，使他们脱离那恶者。
