凡不因我跌倒的有福了！」

人若把這些小子中的一個絆倒的，還不如把磨石拴在他的頸項上，丟在海裏。

就如經上所記：「我在錫安放一塊絆腳的石頭，使人跌倒的磐石；信靠他的人必不蒙羞。」

我提醒你們該怕的是誰：該怕那殺了以後又有權柄把人扔在地獄裏的。是的，我告訴你們，正要怕他。

那時，耶穌對他們說：「今夜，你們為我的緣故都要跌倒。因為經上記着：『我要擊打牧人，羊就分散了。』

「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，沉在深海裏。這世界有禍了，因為它使人跌倒；絆倒人的事是免不了的，但那絆倒人的有禍了！

只因心裏沒有根，不過是暫時的，一旦為道遭受患難或迫害，立刻就跌倒。

於是王對侍從說：『捆起他的手腳，把他扔在外邊的黑暗裏；在那裏他要哀哭切齒了。』

耶穌轉過來，對彼得說：「撒但，退到我後邊去！你是我的絆腳石，因為你不體會上帝的心意，而是體會人的意思。」

不可因食物毀壞上帝的工作。一切都是潔淨的，但有人因食物使人跌倒，這在他就是惡了。無論是吃肉是喝酒，是甚麼別的事，使弟兄跌倒，一概不做，才是善的。

所以，食物若使我的弟兄跌倒，我就永遠不吃肉，免得使我的弟兄跌倒了。

弟兄們，我若仍舊傳割禮，為甚麼還受迫害呢？若是這樣，十字架絆倒人的地方就沒有了。
