屬基督耶穌的人，是已經把肉體和邪情私慾都釘在十字架上了。

我們知道，我們的舊人已經與基督同釘十字架，使罪身喪失機能，使我們不再作罪的奴僕，

我要克制自己的身體，叫身體服我，免得我傳了給別人，自己反而落選了。

你們這些蛇，這些毒蛇所生的啊，你們怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢？

有些人是生來就不能結婚的，有些人不能結婚是因為人使他們這樣，也有些人是為了天國的緣故自願這樣的。誰能領受就領受吧！”

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們走遍海洋陸地，要使一個人入教；當他入了教，你們卻使他淪為地獄之子，比你們更甚。

那些殺身體卻不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；倒要怕那位能把靈魂和身體都投入地獄裡的。

我要指示你們當怕的是誰：當怕那殺身體以後，有權把人投入地獄裡的；我告訴你們，應當怕他。
