蓋世間所有、不外物欲聲色、榮華富貴。凡此皆非本乎天父、乃本乎人世。

心懷叵測、為玷為辱；眸子不正、惟見邪淫；意志薄弱者、受其誘惑；惟利是圖、實地獄中人也。

於此吾人更有何說？將謂法即罪乎？無是理也！法非罪、乃所以燭吾之罪耳。法若不曰「毋淫、」則吾將不知淫之為淫矣。雖然、罪乃乘虛而入、即因其誡命而攪亂吾心、於以引起諸般淫慾。故無法則罪亦不至如此活躍耳。

吾人固知法乃屬靈之器、然我乃血氣之倫、自鬻於罪、而作其奴。

吾乃語爾、凡忿怒其兄弟者受判；詈兄弟曰「蠢才」者、難免讞院之罰；曰「匪類」者、難免地獄之火。

然吾語爾、毋抗惡人；或批爾右頰、向以左頰；

耶穌講道既畢、眾皆驚服；蓋其所訓、若自具權能者、非尋常經師所得同日而語也。
