But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults his brother or sister, will be subject to the court. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be subject to hellfire.

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to the court; and whoever says to his brother,‘ You good for nothing,’ shall be answerable to the supreme court; and whoever says,‘ You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.

but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire.

If someone says,“ I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

“ Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,nor give place to the devil.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.

who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.“ Then he cried and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’

For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying,‘ You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’

Then Peter came to Him and said,“ Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

Now the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none.

not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

“ So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.

They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause.

But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne;

A wise man fears and departs from evil, But a fool rages and is self-confident.

If I have repaid evil to him who was at peace with me, Or have plundered my enemy without cause,

“ Then He will also say to those on the left hand,‘ Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified.

Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,

“ If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire.And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

“ For violence against your brother Jacob, Shame shall cover you, And you shall be cut off forever.

Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

“ This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear.’

The people answered and said,“ You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?”

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said,“ What does this babbler want to say?” Others said,“ He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,” because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection.

But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

“ But you should not have gazed on the day of your brother In the day of his captivity; Nor should you have rejoiced over the children of Judah In the day of their destruction; Nor should you have spoken proudly In the day of distress.

Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

Also Shimei said thus when he cursed:“ Come out! Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you rogue!

And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,

Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.

And the people answered him in this manner, saying,“ So shall it be done for the man who kills him.”Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said,“ Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.”

And I said to them,“ According to our ability we have redeemed our Jewish brethren who were sold to the nations. Now indeed, will you even sell your brethren? Or should they be sold to us?” Then they were silenced and found nothing to say.

But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law,‘ They hated Me without a cause.’

Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, for he was enraged at him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret— it only causes harm.

and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’

but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.So the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?

The fool has said in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—

Let them not rejoice over me who are wrongfully my enemies; Nor let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause.

My enemies without cause Hunted me down like a bird.

Those who hate me without a cause Are more than the hairs of my head; They are mighty who would destroy me, Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it.

A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this.

“ As a partridge that broods but does not hatch, So is he who gets riches, but not by right; It will leave him in the midst of his days, And at his end he will be a fool.”

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said,“ How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”

And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying,“ This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

Now when the Pharisees heard it they said,“ This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Then the Jews answered and said to Him,“ Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

And his brothers said to him,“ Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.

A fool’s lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for blows.

For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave the command to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.So the decree went out, and they began killing the wise men; and they sought Daniel and his companions, to kill them.

So Ahab went into his house sullen and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no food.

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

And Saul said,“ Hear now, son of Ahitub!” He answered,“ Here I am, my Lord.”Then Saul said to him,“ Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day?”So Ahimelech answered the king and said,“ And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, who goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? Far be it from me! Let not the king impute anything to his servant, or to any in the house of my father. For your servant knew nothing of all this, little or much.”And the king said,“ You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house!”Then the king said to the guards who stood about him,“ Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled and did not tell it to me.” But the servants of the king would not lift their hands to strike the priests of the Lord.And the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.Also Nob, the city of the priests, he struck with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and nursing infants, oxen and donkeys and sheep— with the edge of the sword.Now one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled after David.And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the LORD’s priests.So David said to Abiathar,“ I knew that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I have caused the death of all the persons of your father’s house.Stay with me; do not fear. For he who seeks my life seeks your life, but with me you shall be safe.”

For he sees wise men die; Likewise the fool and the senseless person perish, And leave their wealth to others.

But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him.

When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath.But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him of the people of Mordecai. Instead, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus— the people of Mordecai.

Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. So they brought these men before the king.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say,‘ He has a demon.’The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”

Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said,“ They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?”So Saul eyed David from that day forward.

Then Saul’s anger was aroused against Jonathan, and he said to him,“ You son of a perverse, rebellious woman! Do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Now therefore, send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die.”And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him,“ Why should he be killed? What has he done?”Then Saul cast a spear at him to kill him, by which Jonathan knew that it was determined by his father to kill David.

I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.
