For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Here is what I tell you. You must be more godly than the Pharisees and the teachers of the law. If you are not, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

“ But I warn you— unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.

“ For I say to you that unless your righteousness far surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

是何以言之、異邦人不求稱義、而得稱義者、乃以信主而稱義、以色列民、以法求稱義而不得、何歟、曰、求之不以信主、惟以行法、其蹶此石上、

耶穌曰、我誠告爾、人非更生、不能見上帝國、尼哥底母曰、人既老、何得更生、豈重入母腹而生乎、耶穌曰、我誠告爾、人不以水以聖神而生、不能進上帝國、

士子𠵽唎㘔人、坐摩西位、凡命爾守者、守之、但勿為其所為、以其言而不行也、彼以重且難之任、縛而置人肩上、惟己則一指不肯動、其行事、欲以見於人而為之、且闊其佩經、大其衣裾、

𠵽唎㘔之好利者、聞斯言、哂之、耶穌曰、爾在人前以義自稱、爾之心、上帝知之、蓋人所崇者、上帝所惡也、

宜與眾相睦、惟務潔清、蓋不潔者不得謁主、

宗基督者、是為新造之人、往事已非、諸事更新、

今斧置樹根、凡樹不結善果者、即砍之委火、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、蓋爾於薄荷、八角、馬芹、十輸其一、但律法之尤重者、若義、與仁、與信、爾則遺之、然爾所當行者此也、彼第不可遺耳、爾瞽而相者、蚋則濾之、駝則吞之、偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、噫、𠵽唎㘔人、其瞽乎、先潔杯盤之內、則其外亦潔矣、○偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、爾似粉堊之塋、外見為美、內則死骸污穢充之矣、如是、爾以義外見於人、內則偽善非法充之矣、

凡稱我曰、主也主也者、未必盡入天國、惟遵我天父旨者入焉、

耶穌見其憂甚、曰、有財者、入上帝國、難矣哉、駝入針孔、較富人入上帝國、尤易也、

我誠告爾、凡承上帝國、不如孩提者、不得入也、○

凡不潔、可憎、偽為者、皆不得入、惟錄於羔生命册者、則得入焉、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、蓋爾似隱沒之墓、履其上者不知也、○

謹防士子、好衣長服而遊、喜市上問安、會堂高位、席間上坐、然幷吞嫠婦家資、佯為長祈、其受罪必尤重也、

二人登殿祈禱、一𠵽唎㘔人、一稅吏、𠵽唎㘔人獨立祈禱曰、謝上帝、使我不似他人、殘酷、不義、淫惡、亦不似此稅吏、我七日禁食者二、而以所有十輸其一、稅吏遠立、不敢舉目仰天、拊膺曰、我有罪、上帝憐之、吾語汝、此人歸、以義見稱、較彼尤勝、蓋自高者、必降為卑、自卑者、將升為高也、○

時、眾和會數萬、互相蹂踐、耶穌謂門徒曰、當謹防𠵽唎㘔人之酵、即偽善也、

主曰、爾𠵽唎㘔人、惟杯盤之外是潔、而盛諸杯盤者、莫非劫奪非義之類、不知潔其外者、亦必潔其內、無知者乎、

駝穿針孔、較富人入上帝國、尤易也、

我誠告爾、凡承上帝國、不如孩提者、不得入也、

凡以我名接此孩提者、即接我、
