安息日剛過，週日黎明時分，抹大拉的瑪麗亞和另一位瑪麗亞一同到墳墓去察看。

週日清晨，天還未亮，抹大拉的瑪麗亞就來到墳墓前，發現封住墓口的石頭已經挪開了。

那時，抹大拉的瑪麗亞和另一個瑪麗亞坐在墳墓的對面。

這些婦女就是抹大拉的瑪麗亞、約亞娜、雅各的母親瑪麗亞及其他人。

抹大拉的瑪麗亞就去向門徒報訊，說：「我看見主了！」又把主對她說的話告訴門徒。

這不是那木匠的兒子嗎？祂母親不是瑪麗亞嗎？祂的弟弟不是雅各、約瑟、西門和猶大嗎？

當時，西庇太的妻子帶著兩個兒子上前，跪在耶穌面前，有事要求祂。耶穌問她：「你要什麼呢？」她說：「在你的國度，請讓我這兩個兒子一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。」

有些婦女在遠處觀看，其中有抹大拉的瑪麗亞、小雅各和約西的母親瑪麗亞並撒羅米。耶穌在加利利時，她們已經跟隨祂、服侍祂了。此外還有好些跟著祂上耶路撒冷的婦女。
