And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve,* came up, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs who were from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying,“ Whomever I kiss, He is the one; arrest Him and lead Him away under guard.”And after coming, Judas immediately went to Him and* said,“ Rabbi!” and kissed Him.And they laid hands on Him and arrested Him.

He swallows riches, But will vomit them up; God will expel them from his belly.He sucks the poison of cobras; The viper’s tongue kills him.He does not look at the streams, The rivers flowing with honey and curds.He returns the product of his labor And cannot swallow it; As to the riches of his trading, He cannot even enjoy them.For he has oppressed and neglected the poor; He has seized a house which he has not built.“ Because he knew no quiet within him, He does not retain anything he desires.Nothing remains for him to devour, Therefore his prosperity does not endure.In the fullness of his excess he will be cramped; The hand of everyone who suffers will come against him.When he fills his belly, God will send His fierce anger on him And rain it on him while he is eating.He may flee from the iron weapon, But the bronze bow will pierce him.It is drawn and comes out of his back, Even the flashing point from his gallbladder; Terrors come upon him,Complete darkness is held in reserve for his treasures, And unfanned fire will devour him; It will consume the survivor in his tent.The heavens will reveal his guilt, And the earth will rise up against him.The increase of his house will disappear; His possessions will flow away on the day of His anger.This is a wicked person’s portion from God, The inheritance decreed to him by God.”

After this, Satan then entered him. Therefore Jesus* said to him,“ What you are doing, do it quickly.”

While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd came, and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading the way for them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him.But Jesus said to him,“ Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”

So Judas, having obtained the Roman cohort and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees,* came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.

And the chief priests and the scribes were trying to find a way to put Him to death, since they were afraid of the people.And Satan entered Judas, the one called Iscariot, who belonged to the number of the twelve.And he left and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he was to betray Him to them.And they were delighted, and agreed to give him money.And so he consented, and began looking for a good opportunity to betray Him to them away from the crowd.

And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him,

And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came accompanied by a large crowd with swords and clubs, who came from the chief priests and elders of the people.Now he who was betraying Him gave them a sign previously, saying,“ Whomever I kiss, He is the one; arrest Him.”And immediately Judas went up to Jesus and said,“ Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.But Jesus said to him,“ Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and arrested Him.

That the rejoicing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless momentary?
