兵士編棘為冠、加諸其首、衣以紫袍、共趨其前而呼曰：『猶太人王萬歲！』乃批其頰。

求吾主之惠然來臨兮。濟此煢獨。嗟小子之多敵兮。微主其誰相贖。夫主固知予之窘狀兮。一身受垢而蒙辱。吾敵無數兮。悉在爾目。

至是乃趨耶穌之前、曰：『夫子平安！』且與之吻。

而致景仰於耶穌乎？耶穌者、乃吾人信德之金聲玉振也。曩者彼為前途不可思議之神樂、而甘嘗垢辱、毅然肩負苦架。今則安坐天主寶位之右矣。爾等當細心體驗、耶穌當時如何忍受群小之拂逆、庶幾不致灰心而自餒。

置標於其釘之上端、上書：「斯為猶太人之王。」

兵士亦加嘲弄、飲以敗醯、曰：『爾既為猶太人之王、宜可自救。』

惟不欲因予之故兮。而貽恃主者以慚惶。更不欲因予之故兮。而致求主者之失望。

一朝我罹難。欣然相慶祝。落井更投石。心中懷叵測。相逼日以甚。欲將我撕裂。切齒為何因。醉酒且飽德。
