So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them,“ Which one do you want me to release to you: Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?”

眾乃大呼曰：『去之！去之！釘之於十字架上！』比辣多曰：『吾可釘死爾之王耶？』司祭長應曰：『凱撒而外、吾更無王！』

比辣多應曰：『欲我為爾等釋「猶太人之王」乎？』蓋彼已悟大司祭輩之控耶穌、純出嫉妒也。若輩乃復唆眾、請釋巴辣巴。比辣多復詢曰：『然則爾所稱為「猶太人之王」者、將何以處之？』

方伯又問眾曰：『二者中欲釋誰？』眾曰：『巴辣巴。』曰：『然則號稱基督之耶穌：將何以處之。』

雅各伯生瑪莉雅淨配若瑟、瑪莉雅生耶穌、是為基利斯督。
