Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed[ is] willing, but the flesh[ is] weak.He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out[ his] hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

The heart[ is] deceitful above all[ things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
