入穴而居、耶和華諭之曰、以利亞、爾在此何為、

時、祭司諸長、及民之長老、集大祭司該亞法院、

彼得遠隨耶穌、至大祭司院、入與諸隸同坐、欲觀其竟、

拿但業曰、善者能出自拿撒勒乎、腓力曰、來、試觀之、

眾曰、爾亦出自加利利乎、可考而知、無先知自加利利起也、○

厥後登籍時、有加利利猶大者起、誘民從之、彼亦亡、從者盡散、

或曰、是乃基督、或曰、基督豈出自加利利乎、

彼得立於門外、大祭司所識之門徒、出語司門之婢、引彼得入、婢謂彼得曰、爾亦斯人之徒乎、曰非也、眾僕與隸、因寒熾炭、立而向火、彼得亦偕之向火、○

眾於院中、燃火同坐、彼得亦坐其間、有婢見彼得向火而坐、注視之、曰、此人亦偕之、彼得不承、曰、女乎、我不識之、有頃、又一人見之、曰、爾亦其黨、彼得曰、人乎、非也、逾半時、復一人力言曰、此人實偕之、蓋加利利人也、彼得曰、人乎、我不識爾云何也、言時、鷄即鳴、主回顧彼得、彼得憶主之言曰、鷄鳴之先、爾將三言不識我、遂出而痛哭、○

惟拯義者羅得、即以惡人之淫佚為殷憂者、蓋此義者居其中、且見且聞、以其不法之行、日傷公義之心、主知拯虔者於試中、而留不義者於刑下、以待鞫日、

聞亞基老繼父希律為猶太王、懼不敢往、夢中得示、遂入加利利境、至一邑名拿撒勒居之、應諸先知所言云、人將稱之為拿撒勒人矣、

時西門彼得立而向火、或謂之曰、爾亦其徒乎、彼得弗承曰、非也、有大祭司之僕、即彼得削其耳者之戚、曰、我非見爾偕彼於園乎、彼得復不承、鷄即鳴矣、○

惡人之謀弗從、罪人之途弗履、侮慢者之位弗居、斯人其有福兮、

眾曰、加利利之拿撒勒先知耶穌也、○
