sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.

having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ.

Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion nor fault, forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

And there stood up certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.And not even so did their witness agree together.
