新郎迟迟未到，她们等得困倦，便打盹睡着了。

祂回来时见他们又睡着了，因为他们困得眼皮发沉。

祂回来，见他们都睡着了，就对彼得说：“西门，你在睡觉吗？你不能警醒一时吗？

彼得说：“就算要我跟你一起死，我也不会不认你！”其余的门徒也都这样说。

彼得和两个同伴都困得睡着了，他们醒来后，看见了耶稣的荣光以及站在祂身边的两个人。

就对他们说：“我心里非常忧伤，几乎要死，你们留在这里跟我一起警醒。”

祂祷告完后，便起身回到门徒那里，看见他们因忧愁而疲惫地睡着了，

清晨日出时攻城。迦勒带着部下出来应战时，你便可以见机行事。”

大卫说：“你不是勇士吗？在以色列有谁比得上你呢？有人来刺杀你的王，你的主，你为何没有保护他呢？你失职了。我凭永活的耶和华起誓，你们都该死。因为你们没有保护你们的主——耶和华所膏立的王。你看看王身边的矛和水瓶在哪里？”

以色列王说：“你去告诉便·哈达，叫他别刚穿上盔甲就夸口，打完仗卸下盔甲再夸口吧。”

我虽然躺在床上，心却清醒。我听见我的良人在叩门，说：“开门吧！我的妹妹，我的爱人，我完美无瑕的小鸽子啊，我的头上沾满了露水，头发被夜间的露珠弄湿了。”
