原来，祭司长们和法利赛人早就下令，如果有人知道耶稣在哪里，就要报告，好抓住他。

他们把耶稣从该亚法那里带到总督府，那时是清晨。他们为了不被污秽，能吃逾越节的晚餐，就没有进入总督府。

拘捕耶稣的人把他带到大祭司该亚法那里。经文士们和长老们已经聚集在那里了。彼得远远地跟着耶稣，一直到大祭司的院子。他进到里面，与差役们坐在一起，想看看结果如何。

到了第二天，犹太人的首领、长老和经文士们都聚集在耶路撒冷。大祭司亚纳、该亚法、约翰、亚历山大，以及大祭司家族的人都在那里。

他们聚集、设伏、窥探我的脚踪，伺机要害我的命。

为要从隐秘处射纯全人；他们突然射他，肆无忌惮。他们彼此怂恿去做恶事，彼此商量要暗设陷阱，说：“谁能看见呢？”他们筹划不义，说：“我们所筹划的计谋定好了。”人的意念和心思实在深不可测。

祭司长们和法利赛人听了耶稣的这些比喻，知道他是针对他们而说的，就想拘捕他，可是怕民众，因为他们都认为耶稣是先知。

那些坐在奸恶王位上的，就是藉着律例制造祸患的，难道能成为你的盟友吗？他们互相勾结攻击义人，把无辜人定了死罪。

亚纳和该亚法任大祭司——那时，神的话语在旷野临到撒迦利亚的儿子约翰。

彼得坐在外面的院子里，有一个女仆过来对他说：“你也与那个加利利人耶稣是一伙的。”
