Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying,“ Drink from it, all of you.

Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying,“ Drink from it, all of you.

“ Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price.

And in this mountain The Lord of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees.

THE BELOVED: I have come to my garden, my sister, my spouse; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk.( TO HIS FRIENDS): Eat, O friends! Drink, yes, drink deeply, O beloved ones!

And the roof of your mouth like the best wine. THE SHULAMITE: The wine goes down smoothly for my beloved, Moving gently the lips of sleepers.

I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord.

Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.And He said to them,“ This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many.

Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying,“ This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
