過兩天是逾越節，又是除酵節，祭司長和文士想法子怎麼用詭計捉拿耶穌，殺他。只是說：「當節的日子不可，恐怕百姓生亂。」

除酵節（又名逾越節）近了。祭司長和文士想法子怎麼才能殺害耶穌，是因他們懼怕百姓。

「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交給祭司長和文士。他們要定他死罪，又交給外邦人，將他戲弄，鞭打，釘在十字架上；第三日他要復活。」

賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方，因為耶穌和門徒屢次上那裏去聚集。

逾越節以前，耶穌知道自己離世歸父的時候到了。他既然愛世間屬自己的人，就愛他們到底。吃晚飯的時候，魔鬼已將賣耶穌的意思放在西門的兒子加略人猶大心裏。

他們還住在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「人子將要被交在人手裏。

人子必要去世，正如經上指着他所寫的；但賣人子的人有禍了！那人不生在世上倒好。」賣耶穌的猶大問他說：「拉比，是我嗎？」耶穌說：「你說的是。」

猶太人的逾越節近了，有許多人從鄉下上耶路撒冷去，要在節前潔淨自己。

他不在這裏，已經復活了。當記念他還在加利利的時候怎樣告訴你們，說：『人子必須被交在罪人手裏，釘在十字架上，第三日復活。』」

「你不可將我祭物的血和有酵的餅一同獻上。逾越節的祭物也不可留到早晨。

猶太人的逾越節近了，耶穌就上耶路撒冷去。

你們吃羊羔當腰間束帶，腳上穿鞋，手中拿杖，趕緊地吃；這是耶和華的逾越節。因為那夜我要巡行埃及地，把埃及地一切頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都擊殺了，又要敗壞埃及一切的神。我是耶和華。這血要在你們所住的房屋上作記號；我一見這血，就越過你們去。我擊殺埃及地頭生的時候，災殃必不臨到你們身上滅你們。」「你們要記念這日，守為耶和華的節，作為你們世世代代永遠的定例。

耶穌對他們說：「我很願意在受害以先和你們吃這逾越節的筵席。

「我賣了無辜之人的血是有罪了。」他們說：「那與我們有甚麼相干？你自己承當吧！」

逾越節前六日，耶穌來到伯大尼，就是他叫拉撒路從死裏復活之處。
