“ At midnight the cry rang out:‘ Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’

“ At midnight they were roused by the shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

“ In the middle of the night there was a shout:‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’

“ And at midnight a cry was heard:‘ Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.

“ In the middle of the night there was a shout:‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’

But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

“ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and he will clear a way before Me. And the Lord, whom you are seeking, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of armies.“ But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderer’s soap.

“ Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.

For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

And it will be said on that day,“ Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let’s rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

Do not be amazed at this; for a time is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,and will come out: those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the bad deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

“ But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.

Before the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness And the peoples with fairness.

then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

It was also about these people that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying,“ Behold, the Lord has come with many thousands of His holy ones,to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

(“ Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and people will not see his shame.”)

“ Watch out, stay alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is.It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert.Therefore, stay alert— for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning—so that he does not come suddenly and find you asleep.What I say to you I say to all:‘ Stay alert!’ ”

Before the Lord, for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, And the peoples in His faithfulness.

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’

May our God come and not keep silent; Fire devours before Him, And a storm is violently raging around Him.He summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people:“ Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be discovered.

and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angelsin flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.These people will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,when He comes to be glorified among His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed— because our testimony to you was believed.

Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.“ But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.You too, be ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not think He will.”

Let’s rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.”It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.Then he* said to me,“ Write:‘ Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.’ ” And he* said to me,“ These are the true words of God.”

Now as to the periods and times, brothers and sisters, you have no need of anything to be written to you.For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night.While they are saying,“ Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

“ Therefore so I will do to you, Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, Israel.”
