受二他連得者至、曰、主人、付我二他連得、我因之又獲二他連得、

受二千者亦謂曰：「吾主以二千金見託、予茲又獲二千。」

And he also that received the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents.

“ Then the man with two talents also approached. He said,‘ Master, you gave me two talents. Look, I’ve earned two more talents.’

“ He also who got the two talents came and said,‘ Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

And we have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith.If it is service, he must serve; if it is teaching, he must teach;if it is exhortation, he must exhort; if it is contributing, he must do so with sincerity; if it is leadership, he must do so with diligence; if it is showing mercy, he must do so with cheerfulness.

But as you excel in everything– in faith, in speech, in knowledge, and in all eagerness and in the love from us that is in you– make sure that you excel in this act of kindness too.I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others.

For if the eagerness is present, the gift itself is acceptable according to whatever one has, not according to what he does not have.

Now we make known to you, brothers and sisters, the grace of God given to the churches of Macedonia,that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth of their generosity.For I testify, they gave according to their means and beyond their means.
