“ The master was full of praise.‘ Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’

“ His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your master’s joy.’

His Lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

His master answered,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’

“ The one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and the one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

If anyone wants to serve me, he must follow me, and where I am, my servant will be too. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.

I will grant the one who conquers permission to sit with me on my throne, just as I too conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too.

Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.You have not seen him, but you love him. You do not see him now but you believe in him, and so you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

“ Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Do not be afraid of the things you are about to suffer. The devil is about to have some of you thrown into prison so you may be tested, and you will experience suffering for ten days. Remain faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown that is life itself.

“ Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their food at the proper time?

I tell you the truth, the master will put him in charge of all his possessions.

I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,

This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah. He did what the LORD his God considered good and right and faithful.He wholeheartedly and successfully reinstituted service in God’s temple and obedience to the law, in order to follow his God.

because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

but someone is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart by the Spirit and not by the written code. This person’s praise is not from people but from God.

You will not abandon me to Sheol; you will not allow your faithful follower to see the Pit.You lead me in the path of life; I experience absolute joy in your presence; you always give me sheer delight.

I tell you the truth, the master will put him in charge of all his possessions.

And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

“ You are the ones who have remained with me in my trials.Thus I grant to you a kingdom, just as my Father granted to me,that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

“ Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. Whoever receives a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, I tell you the truth, he will never lose his reward.”

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Then the king will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’Then the righteous will answer him,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you?When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’And the king will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’

And to the one who conquers and who continues in my deeds until the end, I will give him authority over the nations–he will rule them with an iron rod and like clay jars he will break them to pieces,just as I have received the right to rule from my Father– and I will give him the morning star.

keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

For it is not the person who commends himself who is approved, but the person the Lord commends.

So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God.

So then whether we are alive or away, we make it our ambition to please him.
