Look, your house is left to you desolate.

But if you will not hear these words, I swear by Myself,” says the Lord,“ that this house shall become a desolation.”’”

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

“ So when you see the‘ abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not”( let the reader understand),“ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say,‘ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight. Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

They also set up false witnesses who said,“ This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law;for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”

And Jesus said to them,“ Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

“ But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.

“ And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.“ And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say,‘ Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house?’

For I will no longer pity the inhabitants of the land,” says the Lord.“ But indeed I will give everyone into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. They shall attack the land, and I will not deliver them from their hand.”

Pour out Your indignation upon them, And let Your wrathful anger take hold of them.

For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

“ These things which you see— the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”

Open your doors, O Lebanon, That fire may devour your cedars.Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen, Because the mighty trees are ruined. Wail, O oaks of Bashan, For the thick forest has come down.

Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst.For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Your holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.Our holy and beautiful temple, Where our fathers praised You, Is burned up with fire; And all our pleasant things are laid waste.Will You restrain Yourself because of these things, O Lord? Will You hold Your peace, and afflict us very severely?

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know,and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say,‘ We are delivered to do all these abominations’?Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the Lord.“ But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I set My name at the first, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel.And now, because you have done all these works,” says the Lord,“ and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you, but you did not answer,therefore I will do to the house which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to this place which I gave to you and your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
