禍哉、爾偽善之士子、與法利賽人乎、以爾周行水陸、使一人進教、既進矣、乃使為地獄之人、較倍於爾也、○

許多猶太人和誠心改信猶太教的外族人都跟隨保羅和巴拿巴，二人就與他們談論，勸勉他們要堅定不移地信靠上帝的恩典。

但我告訴你們，凡無緣無故向弟兄發怒的，要受審判；凡罵弟兄是白癡的，要受公會的審判；凡罵弟兄是笨蛋的，難逃地獄的火。

我們以前也在他們當中隨從罪惡的本性，放縱肉體和心中的私慾，與其他人一樣本是惹上帝發怒的人。

但那些頑梗不信的猶太人卻慫恿外族人敵視信徒。

「你這魔鬼的兒子，充滿了詭詐和邪惡，是一切正義之敵，到現在還想歪曲主的正道嗎？

那些人非常熱心地對待你們，其實他們心懷不軌，想要離間我們的關係，使你們熱心地對待他們。

那些勉強你們接受割禮的人只不過是做表面工夫，想討好別人，避免為基督的十字架受迫害。

弗呂迦、旁非利亞、埃及和靠近古利奈的利比亞的人，還有從羅馬來的猶太人和改信猶太教的人、

有些猶太人從安提阿和以哥念來煽動民眾，他們用石頭打保羅，以為他死了，就把他拖到城外。

那些不信主的猶太人卻妒火中燒，他們召集了一群市井無賴，在城裡引發騷亂，闖進耶孫的家企圖把保羅和西拉揪出來示眾。他們找不到保羅和西拉，就把耶孫和幾個弟兄拉到當地官員面前，高喊：「那些攪亂天下的人到我們這裡來了，

你們是出於你們的父魔鬼，你們樂意順著牠的私慾行。魔鬼從起初就是個殺人兇手，從不站在真理這一邊，因為牠心裡根本沒有真理。撒謊是牠的本性，因為牠是撒謊者，又是撒謊者的始祖。

可是，帖撒羅尼迦的猶太人聽到保羅在庇哩亞宣揚上帝的道，就趕來慫恿、煽動眾人。

各省各城，凡諭旨所到之處，猶太人都歡喜快樂，設宴慶祝。許多當地人因懼怕猶太人而入了猶太籍。

大家一致同意，便選出充滿信心、被聖靈充滿的司提凡，此外還有腓利、伯羅哥羅、尼迦挪、提門、巴米拿，以及曾信過猶太教、來自安提阿的外族人尼哥拉。
