Again, he sent out other servants and said,‘ Tell those who are invited: See, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

王又派了别的奴仆，说：‘你们去对那些被邀请的人说，看哪，我的午餐我已经预备好了，公牛和肥畜已经宰杀了，一切都预备好了，请你们来赴婚宴。’

他又差遣別的奴僕，說：「要告訴那些被請的人說：看哪，我的筵席我已經豫備好了；我的公牛和肥畜已經宰了，百物齊備了，來赴婚筵吧！」

王又派了別的奴僕，說：『你們去對那些被邀請的人說，看哪，我的午餐我已經預備好了，公牛和肥畜已經宰殺了，一切都預備好了，請你們來赴婚宴。』

“ Then he sent some more servants and said,‘ Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

“ Then he sent some more slaves. He said,‘ Tell those who were invited that I have prepared my dinner. I have killed my oxen and my fattest cattle. Everything is ready. Come to the wedding dinner.’

Again he sent other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’

“ So he sent other servants to tell them,‘ The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!’

Again he sent other slaves, saying,‘ Tell those who have been invited,“ Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened cattle are all butchered and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast!” ’

Again, he sent out other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’

Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden, Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast.

Again, he sent out other slaves, and said,‘ Tell those who are invited: Look, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and[ my] fatlings[ are] killed, and all things[ are] ready: come unto the marriage.

Again he sent other slaves, saying,‘ Tell those who have been invited,“ Look! The feast I have prepared for you is ready. My oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.”’

Again he sent out other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’

Paul and Barnabas boldly replied,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.

Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group, and they did the same to them.

“ Then he told his servants,‘ The banquet is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new unleavened batch, as indeed you are. For Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed.Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old leaven or with the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

At the time of the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who were invited,‘ Come, because everything is now ready.’

For you, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, abounding in faithful love to all who call on you.

After three days he called together the leaders of the Jews. When they had gathered he said to them,“ Brothers, although I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.After they examined me, they wanted to release me, since there was no reason for the death penalty in my case.Because the Jews objected, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar; even though I had no charge to bring against my people.For this reason I’ve asked to see you and speak to you. In fact, it is for the hope of Israel that I’m wearing this chain.”Then they said to him,“ We haven’t received any letters about you from Judea. None of the brothers has come and reported or spoken anything evil about you.But we want to hear what your views are, since we know that people everywhere are speaking against this sect.”After arranging a day with him, many came to him at his lodging. From dawn to dusk he expounded and testified about the kingdom of God. He tried to persuade them about Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.Some were persuaded by what he said, but others did not believe.Disagreeing among themselves, they began to leave after Paul made one statement:“ The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiahwhen he said, Go to these people and say: You will always be listening, but never understanding; and you will always be looking, but never perceiving.For the hearts of these people have grown callous, their ears are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and he sent them ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself was about to go.He told them,“ The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.Now go; I’m sending you out like lambs among wolves.Don’t carry a money-bag, traveling bag, or sandals; don’t greet anyone along the road.Whatever house you enter, first say,‘ Peace to this household.’If a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.Remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they offer, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Don’t move from house to house.When you enter any town, and they welcome you, eat the things set before you.Heal the sick who are there, and tell them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near you.’When you enter any town, and they don’t welcome you, go out into its streets and say,‘ We are wiping off even the dust of your town that clings to our feet as a witness against you. Know this for certain: The kingdom of God has come near.’I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will go down to Hades.Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that anyone may eat of it and not die.I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”At that, the Jews argued among themselves,“ How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”So Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves.The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day,because my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Now those who had been scattered as a result of the persecution that started because of Stephen made their way as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews.But there were some of them, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who came to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks also, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus.

He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead the third day,and repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

I have come to my garden— my sister, my bride. I gather my myrrh with my spices. I eat my honeycomb with my honey. I drink my wine with my milk. Eat, friends! Drink, be intoxicated with caresses!

Wisdom has built her house; she has carved out her seven pillars.She has prepared her meat; she has mixed her wine; she has also set her table.

They refused to listen and did not remember your wonders you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, and you did not abandon them.

He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?
