Jesus replied,“ Marriage is for people here on earth.But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.And they will never die again. In this respect they will be like angels. They are children of God and children of the resurrection.

Jesus replied,“ Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.For when the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. In this respect they will be like the angels in heaven.

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat.

Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son,and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.

Praise the Lord, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands.

But let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short. So from now on, those with wives should not focus only on their marriage.Those who weep or who rejoice or who buy things should not be absorbed by their weeping or their joy or their possessions.Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.

In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said,“ No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers and sisters who testify about their faith in Jesus. Worship only God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.”

And they sang a new song with these words:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.”Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders.

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: If you follow my ways and carefully serve me, then you will be given authority over my Temple and its courtyards. I will let you walk among these others standing here.

“ Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!
