But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees: touching the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees; and the assembly was divided.For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.

Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither hath Christ been raised:and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching vain, your faith also is vain.

men who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already, and overthrow the faith of some.

And Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
