就对他说：‘朋友，你到这里来怎么不穿礼服呢？’那人无言可答。

就对他说：‘朋友，你没有婚筵的礼服，怎能进到这里来呢？’他就无话可说。

就对他说：‘朋友，你进到这里来怎么没有穿婚宴的礼服呢？’那个人哑口无言。

就對他說：『朋友，你到這裏來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。

就對他說：『朋友，你到這裏來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。

就問他，『朋友，你來這裡怎麼不穿婚宴的禮服呢？』那人無言以對。

就對他說：‘朋友，你沒有婚筵的禮服，怎能進到這裡來呢？’他就無話可說。

就對他說：「同伴哪，你沒有婚筵禮服，怎麼進這裏來呢？」那人閉口無言。

就對他說：『朋友，你進到這裡來怎麼沒有穿婚宴的禮服呢？』那個人啞口無言。

謂之曰、友乎、不衣禮服、胡為乎來、其人默然、

客不衣禮服、胡為乎來、賓默然、

語之曰、友乎、爾不衣禮服何至此乎、其人默然、

謂之曰：「友、無禮服安得入此？」其人默然。

He asked,‘ How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

And he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

‘ Friend,’ he asked,‘ how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.

and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding- garment? And he was speechless.

and he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

Jesus replied,“ Friend, do what you came to do.” Then the men stepped forward. They grabbed Jesus and arrested him.

“ The owner answered one of them.‘ Friend,’ he said,‘ I’m being fair to you. Didn’t you agree to work for the usual day’s pay?

Here is what I tell you. You must be more godly than the Pharisees and the teachers of the law. If you are not, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Honest people see it and are filled with joy. But no one who is evil has anything to say.

“ You say,‘ I am“ clean.” I haven’t followed the gods that are named Baal.’ How can you say that? Remember how you acted in the valley. Consider what you have done. You are like a female camel running quickly here and there.

He kept part of the money for himself. Sapphira knew he had kept it. He brought the rest of it and put it down at the apostles’ feet.Then Peter said,“ Ananias, why did you let Satan fill your heart? He made you lie to the Holy Spirit. You have kept some of the money you received for the land.Didn’t the land belong to you before it was sold? After it was sold, you could have used the money as you wished. What made you think of doing such a thing? You haven’t lied just to people. You’ve also lied to God.”When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. All who heard what had happened were filled with fear.Some young men came and wrapped up his body. They carried him out and buried him.About three hours later, the wife of Ananias came in. She didn’t know what had happened.Peter asked her,“ Tell me. Is this the price you and Ananias sold the land for?”“ Yes,” she said.“ That’s the price.”Peter asked her,“ How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! You can hear the steps of the men who buried your husband. They are at the door. They will carry you out also.”At that moment she fell down at Peter’s feet and died. Then the young men came in. They saw that Sapphira was dead. So they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.The whole church and all who heard about these things were filled with fear.

He guards the paths of his faithful servants. But evil people will lie silent in their dark graves.“ People don’t win just because they are strong.

You can be sure that people like this are twisted and sinful. Their own actions judge them.

So poor people have hope. And God shuts the mouths of those who don’t treat others fairly.

What the law says, it says to those who are ruled by the law. Its purpose is to shut every mouth and make the whole world accountable to God.

“ A thief is dishonored when he is caught. And you people of Israel are filled with shame. Your kings and officials are dishonored. So are your priests and your prophets.

So don’t judge anything before the appointed time. Wait until the Lord returns. He will bring to light what is hidden in the dark. He will show the real reasons why people do what they do. At that time each person will receive their praise from God.

Peter answered,“ May your money be destroyed with you! Do you think you can buy God’s gift with money?You have no part or share in this holy work. Your heart is not right with God.Turn away from this evil sin of yours. Pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.I see that you are very bitter. You are a prisoner of sin.”
