But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.

農夫見其子、則相語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、據其業、

農夫見其子、則私語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業可據矣、

園夫見其子、相語曰、此乃嗣子、盍來殺之、以據其業、

孰意園戶一見其子、乃共議曰：「斯乃厥嗣、我等盍共殺之、可佔其產：」

“ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’

“ But the renters saw the son coming. They said to one another,‘ This is the one who will receive all the owner’s property someday. Come, let’s kill him. Then everything will be ours.’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another,‘ Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’

But when the vine growers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir; come, let’s kill him and take possession of his inheritance!’

But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance!’

And they saw him afar off, and before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, An evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs.If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,nor do ye take account that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.Now this he said not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad.So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.

for of a truth in this city against thy holy Servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together,to do whatsoever thy hand and thy council foreordained to come to pass.

But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.And they took him, and killed him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard.

Now when morning was come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pilate the governor.

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were much perplexed concerning them whereunto this would grow.And there came one and told them, Behold, the men whom ye put in the prison are in the temple standing and teaching the people.Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them, but without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,saying, We strictly charged you not to teach in this name: and behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

Then were gathered together the chief priests, and the elders of the people, unto the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas;and they took counsel together that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him.

The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Now when they were departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I tell thee: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.And he arose and took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt;and was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt did I call my son.Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the Wise- men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had exactly learned of the Wise- men.

hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;
