“ When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman,‘ Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’

“‘ You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him.“‘ The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

In his day you shall give him his wages, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor and sets his heart on it; lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.

They came near to the steward of Joseph’s house, and they spoke to him at the door of the house,

For the overseer must be blameless, as God’s steward, not self- pleasing, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for dishonest gain;

I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them.I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.

who“ will pay back to everyone according to their works:”to those who by perseverance in well- doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;but to those who are self- seeking, and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.

“ But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive the things in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.

Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house.

He also said to his disciples,“ There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.He called him, and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

Abram said,“ Lord Yahweh, what will you give me, since I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”

So let a man think of us as Christ’s servants, and stewards of God’s mysteries.Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Joseph found favor in his sight. He ministered to him, and Potiphar made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.From the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, Yahweh blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake. Yahweh’s blessing was on all that he had, in the house and in the field.He left all that he had in Joseph’s hand. He didn’t concern himself with anything, except for the food which he ate. Joseph was well- built and handsome.

“ Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.
