You must not oppress your neighbor or commit robbery against him. You must not withhold the wages of the hired laborer overnight until morning.

You must pay his wage that very day before the sun sets, for he is poor and his life depends on it. Otherwise he will cry out to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin.

So they approached the man who was in charge of Joseph’s household and spoke to him at the entrance to the house.

For the overseer must be blameless as one entrusted with God’s work, not arrogant, not prone to anger, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy for gain.

Then I saw a large white throne and the one who was seated on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then books were opened, and another book was opened– the book of life. So the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.

He will reward each one according to his works:eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,but wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition and do not obey the truth but follow unrighteousness.There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek,but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and also the Greek.

and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.As the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be paid back according to what he has done while in the body, whether good or evil.

The Lord replied,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, to those who eagerly await him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation.

Stay in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you, for the worker deserves his pay. Do not move around from house to house.

Jesus also said to the disciples,“ There was a rich man who was informed of accusations that his manager was wasting his assets.So he called the manager in and said to him,‘ What is this I hear about you? Turn in the account of your administration, because you can no longer be my manager.’

But Abram said,“ O sovereign LORD, what will you give me since I continue to be childless, and my heir is Eliezer of Damascus?”

One should think about us this way– as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.

So Joseph found favor in his sight and became his personal attendant. Potiphar appointed Joseph overseer of his household and put him in charge of everything he owned.From the time Potiphar appointed him over his household and over all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s household for Joseph’s sake. The blessing of the LORD was on everything that he had, both in his house and in his fields.So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph’s care; he gave no thought to anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well built and good-looking.

After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them.

Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.
