But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

But then he heard that Archelaus was king of Judea. Archelaus was ruling in place of his father Herod. This made Joseph afraid to go there. Joseph had been warned in a dream. So he went back to the land of Galilee instead.

and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,“ This is the way. Walk in it.”

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him.

It came to pass, when they had taken them out, that he said,“ Escape for your life! Don’t look behind you, and don’t stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be consumed!”Lot said to them,“ Oh, not so, my lord.See now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have magnified your loving kindness, which you have shown to me in saving my life. I can’t escape to the mountain, lest evil overtake me, and I die.See now, this city is near to flee to, and it is a little one. Oh let me escape there( isn’t it a little one?), and my soul will live.”He said to him,“ Behold, I have granted your request concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken.

Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,he led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.

But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death.

Being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way.Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.Here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”

They answered him,“ Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.”

Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.

Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” Yahweh said,“ Take a heifer with you, and say, I have come to sacrifice to Yahweh.

Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says:“ I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.Oh that you had listened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,

Others said,“ This is the Christ.” But some said,“ What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?Hasn’t the Scripture said that the Christ comes of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
