But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

But then he heard that Archelaus was king of Judea. Archelaus was ruling in place of his father Herod. This made Joseph afraid to go there. Joseph had been warned in a dream. So he went back to the land of Galilee instead.

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there, and being warned in a dream he withdrew to the district of Galilee.

But when he learned that the new ruler of Judea was Herod’s son Archelaus, he was afraid to go there. Then, after being warned in a dream, he left for the region of Galilee.

約瑟和馬利亞辦完了照主律法應辦的一切事，就回加利利、到自己的城拿撒勒去了。

你偏於右、或偏於左、的時候，你總要親耳聽見，從後邊有話在說：『這就是路：你要行它！』

當下耶穌從加利利到了約但河，去見約翰，要受他的洗。

即領了他們出來，一位就說：『逃命吧！不可回頭看望，在這一片平原上、哪裏都不可站住！只要往山上逃跑！免得你被掃滅。』羅得對他們說：『我主啊，別這樣吧！你看，你僕人即在你面前蒙恩，你又向我大施慈愛，救活我的性命；我，我沒有力量往山上逃跑，恐怕這災禍追上了我，我便死去。看哪，這城很近，可以逃到，又是個小的；那不是個小的麼？哦，容我逃到那裏，我的性命就可以存活了。』那一位對他說：『你看，就是對這事、我也給你面子；你所說的這城、我也不覆滅。

於是他們在急難中喊求永恆主援救他們脫離他們的窘迫；永恆主就帶領他們走對的路，使他們走到可住的城。

正想着這些事的時候，忽有主的一個使者向約瑟夢中顯現說：『大衛的子孫約瑟啊，不要怕將你的妻子馬利亞娶過來；因為所生在她身裏的是從聖靈而來的。

說這上帝永永遠遠為我們的上帝。是他要率領我們到永遠。

他們因為夢中得了神諭不要折回去見希律，就從別條路回自己地方去了。他們回去以後，忽有主的一個使者向約瑟夢中顯現說：『起來，帶着小孩子和他母親，逃往埃及去，在那裏我吩咐你怎樣作；因為希律將要尋找小孩子來殺滅他。』

你用你的勸言忠告來領導我，以後還要拿尊榮來接我。

亞拿尼亞回答說：『主啊，我從許多人聽見這個人的事，說他對在耶路撒冷的聖徒行了多麼大的苦害；又在這裏執有從祭司長們得來的權柄，要捆綁一切呼求你名的人。』

他們回答他說：『難道連你也是出於加利利麼？你去探索，就可以看清楚：神言人是不從加利利興起來的。』【

你出你入、永恆主必保護你，從今時直到永遠。

撒母耳說：『我怎能去呢？掃羅聽見、必定殺害我的。』永恆主說：『你手裏可以牽着一隻母牛犢，就說：「我是為給永恆主獻祭來的。」

贖回你者永恆主、以色列之聖者、這麼說：『我永恆主你的上帝、是教訓你、使你得益處、在你所當行的路上帶領你的。哦，巴不得你素來都留心聽我的命令哦！那麼你的興隆就會像不乾涸的江河，你的勝利就會像海裏的波浪，

但是希律死了以後，忽有主的一個使者在埃及向約瑟夢中顯現說：

另有人說：『這個人是基督。』有的卻說：『基督哪是出於加利利呢？經上豈不是說：「基督是出於大衛的後裔，大衛所在的村子伯利恆」麼？』
