“ If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.

And if thy brother sin against thee, go, show him his fault between thee and him alone: if he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

“ If your brother sins against you, go and rebuke him in private. If he listens to you, you have won your brother.

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

“ If your brother sins, go and show him his fault when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have regained your brother.

“ If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.

“ Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin.

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Don’t think of them as enemies, but warn them as you would a brother or sister.

So watch yourselves!“ If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive.Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back,you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

“ That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.”

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Let the godly strike me! It will be a kindness! If they correct me, it is soothing medicine. Don’t let me refuse it. But I pray constantly against the wicked and their deeds.

The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends.

When arguing with your neighbor, don’t betray another person’s secret.Others may accuse you of gossip, and you will never regain your good reputation.

But instead, one believer sues another— right in front of unbelievers!Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated?Instead, you yourselves are the ones who do wrong and cheat even your fellow believers.

In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over

And when you sin against other believers by encouraging them to do something they believe is wrong, you are sinning against Christ.

“ Suppose one of you sins against your associate and is unfaithful to the Lord. Suppose you cheat in a deal involving a security deposit, or you steal or commit fraud,or you find lost property and lie about it, or you lie while swearing to tell the truth, or you commit any other such sin.If you have sinned in any of these ways, you are guilty. You must give back whatever you stole, or the money you took by extortion, or the security deposit, or the lost property you found,or anything obtained by swearing falsely. You must make restitution by paying the full price plus an additional 20 percent to the person you have harmed. On the same day you must present a guilt offering.As a guilt offering to the Lord, you must bring to the priest your own ram with no defects, or you may buy one of equal value.Through this process, the priest will purify you before the Lord, making you right with him, and you will be forgiven for any of these sins you have committed.”

My purpose, then, was not to write about who did the wrong or who was wronged. I wrote to you so that in the sight of God you could see for yourselves how loyal you are to us.

Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ.When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law.When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ.

Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before.
