吾實語爾、現立於斯者、必有未死之前、獲睹人子乘權而降焉。』

“ Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

耶穌又對他們說：「我確實地告訴你們：站在這裡的有些人，在還沒有嘗到死的滋味之前，必定見到神的國帶著權能來臨。」

猶太人說：「現在我們知道你是有鬼魔附身的。亞伯拉罕死了，先知們也死了，你還說『人如果遵守我的話語，就絕不會嘗到死的滋味，直到永遠。』

耶穌回答他，說：「你已經說了。不過我告訴你們：將來你們會看見人子坐在全能者的右邊，在天上的雲彩中來臨。」

他們在這城逼迫你們，你們就逃到別的城去。我確實地告訴你們：在你們走遍以色列的城鎮之前，人子必定來臨。

不過我們看見的是：那暫時比天使低微的耶穌，因著死亡的痛苦被賜予榮耀和尊貴為冠冕，好使他藉著神的恩典，替所有的人嘗了死的滋味。

那時候，人們將要看見人子帶著極大的權能和榮耀，在雲彩中來臨。

耶穌在橄欖山上坐著，門徒們悄悄地前來問他：「請告訴我們，這些事什麼時候會發生呢？你的來臨和這世代的終結會有什麼預兆呢？」

他得了聖靈的啟示：自己在經歷死亡以前會看見主的基督。

因為就像閃電從東邊發出，直照到西邊，人子的來臨也將要這樣。屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就聚集在哪裡。「那些日子的患難一過去，『太陽就要變黑，月亮也不發光，星辰要從天上墜落，諸天的各勢力也將被震動。』「那時候，人子的徵兆將要顯現在天上，地上的萬族都要捶胸哀哭。他們將要看見人子帶著極大的權能和榮耀，在天上的雲彩中來臨。在嘹亮的號角聲中，他要差派他的天使們從四方，從天這邊到天那邊，召集他所揀選的人。

我告訴你們：他會很快地給他們主持公道。不過人子回來的時候，難道在地上能找到這樣的信仰嗎？」

所以你們要警醒，因為你們不知道你們的主哪一天回來。

並且等候他那從天降臨的兒子，就是神使他從死人中復活的耶穌——他拯救我們脫離那將要來臨的震怒。

那時候，人們將要看見人子帶著極大的權能和榮耀，在雲彩中來臨。這些事一開始發生，你們就當挺起身、抬起頭，因為你們的救贖近了。」
