撒但回答耶和华说：“人以皮换皮，宁可付出他所有的一切去保命。

如果你的右眼使你犯罪，就把它挖出来丢掉；宁可失去身体的一部分，胜过全身被丢进地狱里。

最后，魔鬼带耶稣上了一座极高的山，把世界各国和各国的荣华都指给他看。并且对他说：“你只要跪下来拜我，我就把这一切都给你。”
