乃諭諸徒曰：『人欲從予、必須克己、負其十字架、而追隨予後。

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples. He said,“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross and follow me.

Then Jesus told his disciples,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

不拿着自己的十字架來跟從我的，也配不起我。

凡不背着自己的十字架來跟着我的，不能做我的門徒。

所以基督既在肉身受過苦，你們就該穿着以下這樣的信念為軍裝，承認在肉身受過苦的人是已止絕了罪，不再順着人的私慾，乃順着上帝的旨意，來度肉身上剩餘的時光。

耶穌定睛看了看他，愛他，就對他說：『你缺少一件；去變賣你所有的，給予窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』

耶穌又對眾人說：『人若想要跟着我，就當棄絕自己，天天拿起他的十字架來跟從我。因為凡想要救自己性命的，必失掉性命；凡為我失掉自己性命的，必救得真性命。人贏得全世界、卻失掉自己或賠上自己，有甚麼益處呢？凡以我和我的為可恥的，人子帶着他與父和眾天使的榮耀來臨的時候，也必以這人為可恥。我老實告訴你們，在此地站着的、一定有人在沒有嘗着死以前、就可以看見上帝之國的榮耀。』

是的，凡立志要在基督耶穌裏敬虔度生活的、都會遭受到逼迫的。

於是呼召羣眾同門徒，對他們說：『人若想要跟着我，就當棄絕自己，拿起他的十字架來跟從我。

因着信、摩西長大的時候、拒絕稱為法老女兒的兒子；寧可選擇跟上帝的子民同受虐待，也不願意有罪惡中暫時的享受。因為他看被膏者所要受的辱罵、比埃及的寶藏為更大的財富：他轉臉注視着那賞報。

如今我在為你們受的這些苦之中、倒覺得喜樂，並且為基督的身體、就是教會、在我肉身上補替他受的苦難所未受盡的。

堅固門徒的心，鼓勵他們要堅守信仰。又說我們要進上帝的國、經由許多苦難是必須的。』

耶穌自己背着十字架出來，到了一個地方叫頭蓋骨，希伯來土話叫各各他的地方；

免得有人在這些患難中被誘動；因為你們自己也知道，我們是被派定而受苦的。

有一個古利奈人西門、是亞力山大和魯孚的父親、從鄉下來、經過那裏，他們就拉夫他拿着耶穌的十字架。

他們出來的時候，遇見一個古利奈人名叫西門；就拉夫這個人背着耶穌的十字架。

把耶穌帶走的時候，他們拉住了一個從鄉下來的古利奈人西門，把十字架擱在他身上，叫在耶穌後面背着。
