Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying,“ Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him,“ Lord, are You washing my feet?”Jesus answered and said to him,“ What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”Peter said to Him,“ You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him,“ If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”

When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said,“ Thus says the Holy Spirit,‘ so shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”Now when we heard these things, both we and those from that place pleaded with him not to go up to Jerusalem.Then Paul answered,“ What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying,“ Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Please, let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement.”
