So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone,in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each person must be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone, A precious cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. The one who believes in it will not be disturbed.

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever.As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time and forever.

but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one should act in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.

For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

Then say to him,‘ The Lord of armies says this:“ Behold, there is a Man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the temple of the Lord.Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will bear the majesty and sit and rule on His throne. praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Be gracious to me, Lord; See my oppression from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,

Have the gates of death been revealed to you, And have you seen the gates of deep darkness?

Now Saul approved of putting Stephen to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.

And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

and recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.

This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

Who will bring charges against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, but rather, was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?Just as it is written:“ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

( but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?),

I said,“ In the middle of my life I am to enter the gates of Sheol; I have been deprived of the rest of my years.”

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying,“ Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand, which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,“ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”

Those who sit in the gate talk about me, And songs of mockery by those habitually drunk are about me.

Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?”

Then the king said to them,“ Whatever seems best to you I will do.” So the king stood beside the gate, and all the people went out by hundreds and thousands.

A spirit of justice for him who sits in judgment, A strength to those who repel the onslaught at the gate.

Their souls loathed all kinds of food, And they came close to the gates of death.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed When they speak with their enemies in the gate.
