he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God.

他就可以不孝敬父母。’这就是你们藉着遗传，废了神的诫命。

他就可以完全不孝敬父母。’这样，为了你们的传统，你们就废弃了神的话语。

遂可不敬父母、是爾以爾遺傳廢上帝誡也、

遂可不敬父母、是爾以爾遺傳、廢上帝誡也、

遂可不敬父母、是爾以爾遺傳而廢天主之誡矣、

乃無須養其父母。」是爾以人之傳習、廢天主之道也。

they are not to‘ honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

So they do not need to honor their father or mother with their gift. You make the word of God useless in order to follow your own teachings.

In this way, you say they don’t need to honor their parents. And so you cancel the word of God for the sake of your own tradition.

he does not have to honor his father.’ In this way, you have nullified the word of God because of your tradition.

he is not to honor his father or mother.’ And by this you have invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

he shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.

he does not have to honor his father.’ In this way, you have revoked God’s word because of your tradition.

And honour not his father or his mother,[ he shall be free]. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

It is time for the Lord to act, for your law has been broken.

“ How can you say,‘ We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie.

If any believing woman has relatives who are widows, let her care for them. Let the church not be burdened, so that it may care for those who are truly widows.

thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.But you have turned aside from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the Lord of hosts,and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you do not keep my ways but show partiality in your instruction.”

My zeal consumes me, because my foes forget your words.

Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Honor widows who are truly widows.But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God.
